*Sep 24: NMSEA Albuquerque Chapter Meeting - /Albuquerque//, NM///*
6pm at REI: 1550 Mercantile Ave NE, 87107

NMSEA's Albuquerque Chapter meets again this month to discuss
"Re-Solarizing the Local Food System." This presentation will discuss
the interplays of local agriculture, how modern, chemically dependent,
industrialized food systems contribute to climate change, and how
transitioning to local, organic agriculture could decrease up to thirty
percent of global green house emissions, plus alleviate a significant
portion of global energy consumption.

With local agriculture practitioner & sustainability educator, Ragan
Matteson & Ric Murphy, owner of Sol Harvest Farm (at Farm & Table
restaurant) presenting, this topic reminds us how capable nature is,
recognizes plants as primary users of solar energy, and emphasizes this
example as we transition from fossil fuel-intensive choices to promote
environmental resilience.

NMSEA Chapter Meetings are FREE & open to the public. We hope that you
join us for this event!
