****Here are some suggestions for getting involved with the promotion of 
solar and sustainable living in New Mexico through NMSEA! We really need 
and can use your special skills.*


-Help at NMSEA's Sunchaser teaching sessions at NM schools

-Speak to the public about NMSEA and solar (we will help train you) at 
various near-Albuquerque special events like tradeshows, solar home 
shows, etc.
-Help coordinate the NMSEA Volunteers. YES YES YES!

-Assist on a regular basis with clerical tasks at the NMSEA office (near 
the PIT/Isotopes Stadium in Albuquerque)
-Offer website maintenance (NMSEA.org) on a regular basis
- Assist our Event Coordinator or Chapter Coordinator

-NMSEA paper and electronic library assistance

-Organize solar energy advocacy efforts to encourage politicians and 
government agencies (writing, calling, meeting)

-Write an article for the SunPaper

-Graphic design or publicity

-Help with NMSEA's annual Solar Fiesta

-Lead or assist a technical or non-technical course related to solar

-Help maintain NMSEAs solar hardware and demonstrations

6-8 pm at REI, 1550 Mercantile NE */

/*The second of four classes offered this summer during CNM's Workforce 
Training Center's solar Photovoltaic Academy! This General PV & 
Installation training includes basic electricity and safety, system 
sizing, basic PV electrical and mechanical design. Grid-Tie, Off-Grid 
Design, Interconnection & other designs, plus a hands-on lab. After 
completing the first two modules of this series, students will be 
eligible to take the NABCEP Entry Level PV exam. This Class is also 
approved for (30 hours) Electrical Journeyman CEU's!Please see online

**July 17: Environmental Documentary Screening "Heroes of the Coast" -

/*7 pm at the Aux Dog Theatre in Nob Hill, 3011 Monte Vista 

An hour-long documentary /Heroes of the Coast/ premiering in 
Albuquerque. Compiled over a decade and distilled from 59 interviews 
with major California coastal activists, former legislators and 
executive directors and commissioners of the California Coastal 
Commission, this film depicts the brilliant political campaign in 1972 
that saved the California coast from rampant over-development. & Stop by 
Zinc before or after this FREE event to meet the filmmaker! All are welcome.

***July 24: Solar Fundraising Brunch for Tusque Fire Station - Santa 
Fe**, NM****/
/*7 am to 3 pm at Cafe Fina, 624 Old Las Vegas Hwy, Santa Fe

Café Fina is generously donating a percentage of sales to NEE's efforts 
to solarize the Tusque Fire Station. Come by for delicious breakfast, 
brunch, lunch, drinks, or pastries, with lots of organic choices. 
Anything purchased that day will help New Energy Economy install solar 
panels on the local fire station. Less money spent on utilities 
translates to more money for safety equipment! Not to mention the 
climate benefits. Let's reward these hard-working firefighters who are 
on the front lines of climate change AND enjoy ourselves at the same
