_**NOV 9: Groundbreaking for NM/Japan Smart Grid Demonstration Project

10am at the Los Alamos Landfill / ECO Station – 3701 E. Jemez Rd., Los 
Alamos

Please join Los Alamos County and the New Energy and Industrial 
Technology Development Organization (NEDO) break ground for the New 
Mexico/Japan Demonstration Smart Grid Project in Los Alamos. U.S. 
Congressman Ben Ray Lujan and NEDO’s Director General Kidekazu Takakura 
will do the honors.

New Mexico’s Los Alamos County & Japan’s New Energy and Industrial 
Technology Development Organization (NEDO) will break ground on the 
first phase of the Demonstration Smart Grid Project in Los Alamos - 
Harnessing the sun to install a two megawatt solar array on the Los 
Alamos landfill. The Los Alamos Project includes: 2 MW photovoltaics, 7 
MWh battery array, a demonstration smart house, and smart meters.
