Welcome to the 2010 New Mexico Solar Fiesta!

Solar Fiesta's 10th Anniversary!


Join us at the 11th annual Solar Fiesta, New Mexico's premier Renewable Energy and Sustainability Educational Fair!

A two-day renewable energy fair, the Solar Fiesta features exhibits and workshops about passive solar design, wind and solar electric systems, solar heating and cooling, alternative fuels and vehicles, solar cooking, rainwater catchment, and sustainable building materials, such as strawbale, bamboo and adobe. NMSEA also invites educational institutions, efficiency engineers and consultants, sustainable developers, financers of efficiency projects and recyclers.

This year the Solar Fiesta will be held at a new location, Menaul School, located at 301 Menaul Boulevard NE in Albuquerque. Here's a map of the school's location.

Solar Fiesta 2010 Call for Speakers


This year's workshop series reflects the Fiesta's "What a Bright Idea!!" theme of encouraging and educating Solar Fiesta attendees to go "green." The success of the workshops depends on NMSEA members and community.

As a solar professional or enthusiast, you may have a unique perspective on renewable energy, energy efficiency and/or sustainability. Would you consider sharing your expertise by participating in the 2010 Solar Fiesta Workshop Series, September 11-12? Last year the response was phenomenal, demonstrating your dedication to community education. If you are interested in speaking this year, here's what you need to know:

  1. Presentations: There are two types of presentations:

    2. - Workshops (1-hour presentation to the general public; beginning, intermediate and general interest topics)
    - Technical Sessions (20-minute presentations to industry peers and technically-minded folk; Sunday only)
